How do I record the distance to the nearest bushland?

You might live near bushland, and this could influence the type of wildlife that visits your hollow. You might back on to the edge of a national park, or it might be a small patch of bushland at the end of your street. To count as bushland it should be a continuous patch of trees and understory vegetation, at least two hectares in size (that’s four football fields). The distance doesn’t need to be exact. Just tell us if it’s less than 500m, between half a kilometre and one kilometre or greater than one kilometre. You can estimate the distance, use Google maps or go for a drive.
