What is this project?
Thanks for being part of the Hollows as Homes project! The following is an outline of the data we want you to collect and the methods to use. This information is also being presented at workshops, if you would like to attend a workshop please contact us. You can also download this information as a pdf, here.
For each tree that you assess we ask that you record a number of one-off measurements. Following this, we ask that you periodically observe the hollow to assess if wildlife are using it. The measurements and observations are all to be undertaken without climbing the tree. Please note that we encourage you to assess and monitor multiple trees; this will increase what we learn and improve the accuracy of the data collected.
