Celebrate New Year's Eve in the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney.
Foundation and Friends of the Botanic Gardens members and guests are invited to celebrate New Year’s Eve at a family friendly picnic on the Mare and Foal Lawn in the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney with spectacular harbour views.
Children (0-5 years): Free
Children (6-15 years): $25
Foundation & Friends Member: $75
Tickets MUST be booked by members only, and MUST be collected by 3pm on 30 December from the Foundation & Friends Office - Cottage 6, Mrs Macquaries Road Sydney NSW 2000.

A maximum of 10 tickets can be purchased per membership i.e. if you have a Household Membership you are entitled to 2x member priced tickets, plus 8x non-member or children tickets. If you have an Individual Membership you are entitled to 1x member priced ticket, plus 9x non-member or children tickets.
IMPORTANT: Please take care when booking ensuring you buy the correct number of member/non-member tickets. Incorrect ticket purchases will be refunded and you will be notified. It will then be the member’s responsibility to re-book the tickets correctly.

Q: If I change my mind or my circumstances change can my tickets be refunded?
A: No. Once the tickets have been issued, there will be no refunds. Tickets are non-transferable.
Q: Will tickets be sold at the event?
A: No. There will be no ticket sales at the event. All attendees must present a ticket to gain entry. Tickets are non-transferable.
Q: How do we enter the Botanic Garden for the event?
A: Entry will open at 5pm via the Woolloomooloo Gate on Mrs Macquaries Road. Exit will be via the same point.
Q: My partner and I have a Household membership, how many tickets can we buy?
A: You can purchase a maximum of 10 tickets together, 2 x member tickets at $75 each and 8 x non-member or children tickets.
Q: Can I buy food at the event?
A: No, this is a self-catered event. All food and drinks must be brought into the event. Please note no glass or sharp knives are permitted at the event, please use plastic utensil and cups.
Q: Can I bring alcohol into the event?
A: Yes. The amount of alcohol permitted per person must fit into the equivalent of a small handheld esky. We encourage the responsible consumption of alcohol. Please note all glass bottles will be confiscated on entry. Please decant into plastic bottles/container prior to arrival.
Q: What type of event is this?
A: It is a family-friendly picnic on the grass overlooking Sydney Harbour and the bridge.
Q: I have lost my ticket, what do I do?
A: No replacement tickets will be issued. The member that booked the tickets will need to call the Foundation & Friends Office to notify them of the loss. Telephone: (02) 9231 8182.
