Research Interests

My principle research activities are focused on the fungal genus Fusarium and on those fungi that cause diseases in Australian plants.

Overlying this is an interest in population variation in fungi, principally studied using molecular based techniques which have been used to examine aspects of the research areas outlined above.

Current Projects

  • The biology and taxonomy of Fusarium.
  • Techniques for the diagnosis of plant diseases, especially macromolecular based techniques
  • Diagnosing, identifying and describing fungi that cause diseases of Australian plants.
