Our collections consist of more than 1.4 million herbarium specimens of the National Herbarium of New South Wales (NSW) and the botanical book, archival, art and cultural collections within the Daniel Solander Library. Using international best practice, we maintain and manage these biological, scientific and cultural materials for the advancement of plant science research.
Our current projects: Planning new state-of-the-art facilities at the Australia Botanic Gardens Mt Annan, and documenting and sharing the entire collection online
The team consists of the Manager Collections, Herbarium Curators, Herbarium Support Officers, Plant Information Network Officer, Volunteer Coordinators, Loans and Exchange Officer, and Librarian of the Daniel Solander Library. You can meet members of our team
