Plants of New South Wales

There are a number of avenues to obtain plant identifications and information on plants. Our plant identification and botanical information service can be contacted in person, by telephone, email and by mail. The area also contains a reference collection.

The Flora of New South Wales is available electronically through PlantNET and contains keys, descriptions and images of plants found in NSW.

The National Herbarium of NSW holds over one million preserved plants, representing the flora of the world but with particular emphasis on the State of New South Wales. Data and some images from this collection is available through the Atlas Of Living Australia (ALA).
