Your Wedding Photography Permit allows you to take photos throughout the Royal Botanic Gardens & Domain, providing the area has not been booked by another client. We request you select a lawn to commence your wedding photography.

Please list any equipment/entertainment you wish to bring into the Gardens (refer to Conditions of Use for permitted items). Please inform your supplier and celebrant that NO VEHICLE ACCESS is permitted in the Gardens.

Vehicle access

Please inform all drivers that no vehicle access is permitted in the Royal Botanic Garden.

Cancellations

All cancellations must be received in writing. Please email events@rbgsyd.nsw.gov.au, post or send a fax to 02 9231 8054.  

In the event of cancellation, the following fees will be retained by the Trust:

Cancellations received more than one month prior to your booking will be given a 50% refund of the total fee received. 

Cancellations received less than one month prior to your booking will not be given a refund. 

Cancellation due to inclement weather

A 50% refund of the venue hire fee will be given if you have notified the Venue Management Office on 02 9231 8172 before 9.00 am on the day of your booking. If calling on a weekend, a message must be left on the voicemail. To process your refund we also require a written cancellation (as above) which must be received by the Venue Management Office no more than 14 days after your booking date.

Please note all cancellation refunds are sent by cheque in the Applicant’s name only.

If a venue booking is cancelled because the Garden is closed or, in the reasonable opinion of the Trust, the venue is unusable for any reason, the hirer hereby agrees and acknowledges that the Trust will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss that the hirer may suffer. The hirer hereby releases the Trust, its servants, agents and contractors from any claims, losses, and liabilities which may arise as a result of a venue booking cancellation.

Payment options

Once your application has been accepted and processed we will send you a tax invoice for payment including bank details and a credit card authorisation form. Payment can be made by cheque, money order, bank deposit or by credit card (Visa and Mastercard only). Cheques and money orders should be made payable to Royal Botanic Gardens & Domain Trust. Please note cash payments are not accepted.
