Become a flower Scientist for the day in this fun, free and hands-on workshop! Starting at The Calyx in the heart of the Royal Botanic Garden you’ll get to:
Discover the amazing secrets of herbs on a sensory tour. Kids will be immersed in the Herb Garden touching, smelling and tasting specimens that have been important to people for thousands of years.
Get your hands dirty in a potting session! Kids will plant a flower seedling to take home and nurture.
Learn to create your very own plant specimen just like botanists do! You’ll be given a beautiful dried flower to start your very own collection of pressed plants.
Take home a fabulous GOODY BAG!
Why not pack a picnic and stay a little longer and visit your favourite places in the Royal Botanic Garden, its the perfect place to relax in nature.
This workshop aims to foster plant knowledge and passion in the next generation and is presented in partnership by the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney and Klorane Botanical Foundation.
Children must be accompanied by a supervising adult and must be 6 years and up.
The Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust is registered as a COVID Safe business with the NSW Government. All activities will be delivered in accordance with our COVID safety plan.
Safeguarding the health and safety of our visitors and staff is core to what we do at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney.
For programs taking place prior to 1 December, all attendees are required to sign into the program via the QR code provided and all attendees aged 16 and over are required to show proof of vaccination (two doses) or proof of medical exemption, as per NSW Government guidelines - https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/rules
Masks are not required, but are strongly recommended.
