What time is the event?
Gates open at 6.30 pm with last entry at 8.30 pm.
The event finishes at 1.00 am, with last drinks at 12.30 am.
What beverages are available?
Jugs of water are available from the bars.
Beverages are not included in the ticket price and can be purchased at the cash bar.
Only ticket holders over the age of 18 will be permitted to purchase alcoholic beverages. Photo identification may be requested.
Can I bring alcohol or other drinks to Midnight at the Oasis?
No.
Midnight at the Oasis is a licensed event and a range of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
Beverages brought into the event site will be confiscated at the bag check. The Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust reserves the right to confiscate any restricted items and/or refuse entry to any person not complying with the conditions of entry.
What entertainment is at the event?
Midnight at the Oasis features a live band and a DJ who will provide a range of crowd-pleasers for young and old to get you on the dance floor.
Guests will hear the synchronised fireworks music broadcast.
What time are the fireworks and what view will I have?
There are two fireworks displays on New Year's Eve. The first is at 9.00 pm and the second at midnight. Both displays are accompanied with synchronised music which will be broadcast at the event.
There are panoramic views of the harbour from the event site, and tiered grandstand seating is available to all guests for viewing the fireworks.
Please note some dining tables have partially restricted views due to low-lying tree canopies and event structures.
What are the seating arrangements?
Midnight at the Oasis offers communal reserved tables with configurations of four (4), six (6) or eight (8) seats.
Please note it is likely you will share your table with other guests unless you choose to purchase an entire table
A small number of tables have partially restricted views due to the position of trees or fixed structures. These areas are noted on the seating map at the point of purchase during the ticket purchasing process.
Please note some tables also have backless bench seating.
There is access to a tiered grandstand for uninterrupted panoramic views of the harbour for the fireworks. The grandstand is accessed via steps and is not wheelchair accessible.
There are however many areas across the site on ground level where celebrations on the harbour can be viewed and enjoyed.
Ticket holders will be provided with an option to book mobility assistance if required.
Can I bring children to Midnight at the Oasis?
No.
This is a strictly 18+ only event and you must be of age to purchase a ticket.
Proof of age identification may be requested at the entry and at the bars.
What if I have already purchased tickets and now wish to buy additional tickets at my table or close to where I am seated?

Is Midnight at the Oasis a wheelchair accessible event?
Yes.
Some sections of seating and facilities are elevated and accessed via steps. It is advisable to contact the ticketing support team for assistance to book an easily accessible table.

Is there a dress code?
We suggest lounge suit/cocktail attire and comfortable footwear. High heels are not recommended.
Guests are also advised to bring a jacket or warmer clothing as it can become cool at night.
When do ticket sales close?
Ticket sales will close at 2.00 pm on 30 December unless sold out prior.
Will the New Year's Eve events go ahead if the weather is bad?
This is an outdoor event which will proceed in all weather.
Fireworks are presented by the City of Sydney. In the event fireworks are cancelled, the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust will not be held responsible or provide compensation.
What is included in the meal and how is it served?
Guests receive an entree box on arrival. Main and dessert courses are collected from the restaurant at nominated service times.
Service times will be allocated according to your table and will be communicated to you on arrival at your table. Please note there is no table service.
The availability of main course choices will be dependent upon their popularity on the night.
I have special dietary requirements, what should I do?
The published menu and corresponding ticket type accommodates most of the common dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, lactose free and halal. Please ensure you purchase the dietary ticket to reflect your requirements.
The caterers will assist with other dietary requirements where possible, but requests must be made upon booking tickets via the link provided and the "Other Special Dietary" ticket type must be selected.
Can I bring additional food to the event site?
No.
Additional snacks are available to purchase on-site if required.
Where is Midnight at the Oasis located?
Midnight at the Oasis is held at Fleet Steps South, a waterside location below Mrs Macquarie's Chair with panoramic views of Farm Cove, the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Pedestrian entry and exit is via Art Gallery Road, which is closed to traffic on New Year's Eve.
The event site is approximately 900m, or a 15-minute walk - from the entry gate on Art Gallery Road. Pathways are sealed and there is a moderate slope to negotiate.
