Plants to Medicine Walk

Venture through the gardens led by our volunteer guides and learn about the medicinal and healing properties of the plants that surround us.

Worldwide, over 25,000 plant species have been listed as having medicinal properties. Millions of people in developing countries rely on traditional medicines for their healthcare, while in developed countries unique chemicals have been extracted from plants and used to produce prescription medicines. Our volunteer guides have selected a range of plants that tell the story of plant use in traditional and complementary medicine as well as how they have been used to develop modern drugs for use in cancer and other major diseases.
