Transformation Exhibition Opening

Experience the Transformation Exhibition ahead of the public on Saturday 31 July, 2PM - 4PM.

Mingle with the artists, sip on a glass of wine, enjoy delicious canapés, and shop for exquisite pieces before the general public at the much-anticipated preview of Transformation the Art in Recycle. With keynote speaker Tim Schork, Associate Professor in the School of Architecture within the Faculty of Design, Architecture & Building (DAB) at the University of Technology Sydney.

Transformation is an initiative to draw attention to an ever growing need to stop “the use and throw away habit”. As the world struggles under the weight of an ever-increasing quantity of waste on both land and sea.

We encourage the sale of all the artwork, as proceeds go to the talented artists and to Foundation and Friends of the Botanic Gardens, a not-for-profit organisation that supports horticulture, conservation, scientific research and education programs within the Botanic Gardens.

Please note: COVID safety measures will be enforced to ensure the safety and well-being of our community. These include decreased capacity, social distancing requirements, hand sanitisation stations, and cashless transactions

Public transport recommended. Limited parking available
Terms and Conditions:
Member prices are only available for persons covered by a Foundation & Friends' membership, i.e. one person for an Individual membership, 2 people for a Household membership and 3 people for a Group membership. If you can't attend an event that you've paid for, we need a minimum of three full working days' notice. As our events are fund-raisers for the Gardens, many members who have paid and then can't attend an event can choose to donate their payment. We are very grateful for this as it also reduces administration. We rely on many volunteers to keep the office functioning smoothly. Unlike many organisations, we do not usually charge a booking fee to cover our administration costs.
