Garden Design Series with Hugh Main

Born on a working farm near Glen Innes in north-west New South Wales, he helped in the garden, bordered by paddocks and ghost gums. He studied which plants survived and flourished, and which didn’t. After co-founding Spirit Level over a decade ago, Hugh has grown his vision to create, build and care for gardens that are in touch with their natural settings. When not transforming other people’s gardens he can be found taming the bush around his farmhouse. 
Due to the popularity of the Garden Design Series, now in its fifth year, you need to book early to secure your spot. Ticket includes drinks and canapés on arrival.

Member’s Price: Available for customers who will hold a current membership with Foundation and Friends of the Botanic Gardens at the time of the event/activity. Customers, individuals or groups must be named as membership holders. Non-Member’s Price: Available to all customers who are not current membership holders with Foundation and Friends of the Botanic Gardens. For cancellations of less than 10 days: No refunds or transfers. For cancellations of 10 to 30 days prior: Cancellation fee is 50% of event/activity price, capped at a maximum of $100.
