Nicola has been creating and caring for inspirational gardens for over 20 years, specialising in creating outdoor spaces that transform, restore and soothe the soul. As a graduate of Horticulture and Landscape Design, she founded Pepo Botanic Design
in 2000 and, along with her team, remains committed to developing and maintaining residential gardens, including the grounds of Waverley Council’s historic Bronte House.
Join Nicola for her insights into how thoughtful garden design impacts our wellbeing and why it is essential to immerse ourselves in the restorative embrace of our gardens. As cities continue to heave under the weight of a frenetic pace and hard surfaces, we can find ourselves yearning for this mental and physical balance. It is during these times that the value of natural, green space is critically clear, in order to preserve our fundamental wellbeing.
Nicola will talk about why it is necessary as a society to integrate more greenery into public spaces to avoid becoming ‘plant blind’ through failing to appreciate the flora around us. She will also discuss the grounding benefits of an outdoor space and how integrating our fond garden memories into the design process, can help to restore and nourish good health and metal wellness. Join Nicola in appreciating how our gardens often become the best friends and teachers we could hope to have.
Ticket includes drinks and canapés on arrival.
