Join us for an night where you will explore your sense of smell and create your own unique scent to take home with you to enjoy.
Indulge your senses and awaken your creativity in the Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney and discover the ingredients that are used to make fine fragrances to create your own scent with perfumer Jocelyn from Cult of Scent.
Learn about the sense of smell and how fragrant ingredients are transformed into perfumes. See if you can recognise some classic perfume notes and fragrance families. Choose your favourite ingredients, and with the guidance from Jocelyn, create a 15 mL Eau de Parfum or Cologne
of your own unique scent to take with you as a souvenir of your evening in the gardens. Meet your workshop teacher:
Jocelyn has clocked up more than ten years working as a perfumer for her own house, Cult of Scent and as a consultant creating scents for other perfumed projects. She brings an encyclopaedic knowledge of perfumery and loves to engage you with her passion. What is unique about Jocelyn's perfumery workshops is that she can work with all levels and ages to bring out creativity and confidence. Rather than taking a didactic approach to learning, she prefers to collaborate with you to build your ideas. She lives for lightbulb moments, that magical moment when your perfume comes to life. Jocelyn has been a member of the Societé Française des Parfumeurs since 2010.
