Aboriginal Weaving Workshop

Learn about traditional weaving techniques and understand how Indigenous Peoples use an array of plants, while enjoying the beautiful surrounds of the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney.
Hosted by Wiradjuri woman Aunty Shirley, you will get the opportunity to make your own woven keepsake, while using the open space to gain a deeper understanding of Indigenous cultures in Australia and their connection to country.
All resources will be provided on the day and you will also have the opportunity to collect other materials as your guide takes you through our Indigenous garden which showcases plants used for weaving.
