The Australian Catholic Youth Festival (ACYF) is a three day event occurring at Sydney Olympic Park concluding with an outdoor concert and Mass in the Domain.
The afternoon beginning at 4pm will feature some of Australia’s best Catholic and international musicians and performers, including Matt Maher. The highpoint will be the celebration of the Eucharist at 6.30pm with the Bishops of Australia, young people from across the country, and the people of Sydney.
The ACYF is a national gathering of Catholic young people, providing them with opportunities to explore their faith, engage with society in a meaningful way and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Sydney siders may remember the international visit of Pope Benedict XVI at the World Youth Day in 2008 which saw thousands of joyful young people flood the streets and not since then will so many Catholics gather in one place to celebrate their faith.
It’s an open invitation to Sydney siders to join this fun and faith filled event.
