Join South Coast Basket maker Lissa de Sailles for this short, fun workshop where participants will learn a number of traditional basket weaving techniques such as lashing, twining, three strand waling and how to attach and make a handle. Participants need to have a reasonable degree of manual dexterity.
Lissa de Sailles has been involved with crafting for most of her life and has worked in creative industries since the early 1980’s. Her basketry work is underpinned by a sound knowledge of aesthetic and technical considerations acquired by six years of study both locally and internationally.
