Central Coast Garden Ramble

Spend a day at the central coast exploring 3 wonderful private gardens with the designers and growers that live there.

Join Foundation & Friends for a coach tour visiting three incredible private gardens in the central coast, just over an hour north of Sydney. 

First stop is Living Edge Garden and Nursery, Peats Ridge, run by David Fripp and Blake Jolley.  View their private collection of un-matched sub-tropics treasures that will open your eyes to the vast band width of planting that fits this growing condition. Next door is Kawana Gardens and Nursery. The gardens have a spectacular maple collection, but it’s the way that small, medium and large shrubs are combined that really sets this garden apart.

After lunch at the Bamboo Budda, we head to the Sea Changer at Forrester's Beach, owned and designed by Peter Nixon. The Gardens comprise cool sub-tropic combinations very suited to Sydney coastal near frost free conditions, with high textural contrasts, foliage colour and seasonal flowers.

Included: transportation, morning tea, lunch, and entry fees into the gardens and nursery.

Cash plant sales are available except at Sea Changer.

Member’s Price: Available for customers who will hold a current membership with Foundation and Friends of the Botanic Gardens at the time of the event/activity. Customers, individuals or groups must be named as membership holders. Non-Member’s Price: Available to all customers who are not current membership holders with Foundation and Friends of the Botanic Gardens. For cancellations of less than 10 days: No refunds or transfers. For cancellations of 10 to 30 days prior: Cancellation fee is 50% of event/activity price, capped at a maximum of $100. The remaining amount paid can be used to transfer to another event/activity or refunded. For cancellations of 30 days or more: No cancellation fee applied. The full amount paid can be used to transfer to another event/activity or refunded.
