The free event from 10.30am till 2pm will include a range of activities including storytelling, roving entertainers, seed planting and a mud kitchen. Families will also be able to participate in the fun nature trail experience to discover some of the delights of the garden for children.
Families and friends are invited to put on their play clothes, pack a picnic lunch and bring their children for a relaxing day of fun, play and celebration.

NSW Children’s Week Association Chairperson, Robyn Monro Miller said that the picnic will be an opportunity for all people to come together to acknowledge and celebrate our children.
NSW Children’s Week 2018 will be celebrated from Sunday 21 October through to Sunday 28 October. Children’s Week is celebrated annually to mark Australia’s ratification of the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
NSW Children’s Week Ambassador, Mr Andrew Johnson, the Advocate for Children and Young People said that Children’s Week is an opportunity to reflect on the importance of realising child rights.
