NSW Children’s Week 2018 will be celebrated from Sunday 21 October through to Sunday 28 October and is celebrated annually to mark Australia’s ratification of the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

The picnic will be an opportunity for all people to come together to acknowledge and celebrate our children.

NSW Children’s Week Ambassador, Mr Andrew Johnson, the Advocate for Children and Young People said that Children’s Week is an opportunity to reflect on the importance of realising child rights: "Children’s Week is a time to reflect on ensuring that we are doing all we can to ensure the rights of children are realised."
