Enlightenment Feasts – Immersive Drinks + Canapes

What better way to engage with Vivid Sydney, than to delve bravely and curiously into the theme of Enlightenment, in an immerse experience for the senses. Orbit together from the outer realms of the universe, to the inner world and workings of the human brain. Explore aliveness, ancient wisdom, philosophy and meaning.

Indulge in bespoke story-led cocktails, a thematic curated drinks experience, evocative performance and inspiring speakers. You will be joined by:

  • Fiona Kerr, Neural and Systems Complexity Specialist exploring the wonders and possibility of our brain
  • Tanya Latty, Entomologist and Collaborative Memory and Intelligence Specialist
  • Derek Leddie, Collective Mind Expert
  • Tim Dean, Philosopher and Writer
You will also be joined by acclaimed performers Lee Serle, Samuel Harnett-Welk, Holly Durant, Lily Paskas, Raghav Handa and the amazing electronic cellist/all-round musical innovator, Ben Skepper, who are all sure to provoke and inspire!

Brought to you by Glider, the makers of The Hard Things To Talk About immersive dinner series, premium caterers Trippas White Group and The Calyx.

Join us to ponder the universe, gaze into the unknown and celebrate aliveness amongst the stunning flower display, Pollination in The Calyx, set in the heart of The Royal Botanic Garden Sydney.

Purchase tickets here.

This is the first of two events exploring Enlightenment.
26 May is the Immersive Drinks + Canapes
2 June is the Immersive Dinner, which is a three course shared feast with additional speakers: Dan Goods, the visual strategist for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and founder of the Museum of Awe and Philosopher Matt Beard.

A note on dietary requirements: As this is an immersive drinks experience, we are unable to cater for specific dietary requirements. There will be an array of different options though, so you're sure to find something that'll delight your belly!
