Feeding Time at Plants with Bite!

Delve into the fascinating world of carnivorous plants and have your chance to get up close with these creepy and weird specimens. Join us for this fun and educational experience where you will learn about the evolution of carnivorous plants, the different trap types and how they go about catching their prey. Set in The Calyx which will be showing Plants With Bite, a colossal collection of carnivorous plants, you will be given your own Venus fly trap and bugs to feed it. You will also have the opportunity to attach a digital microscope to your smartphone and capture close up pictures of the traps in action. The session will end with you being given your own insect to gobble up and try.

This is an experience not to miss! In the lead up to the event, check out our Branch Out podcast and listen to the Plants with Bite episode.
