Sustainable Living: Growing Veggies in the City

Would you like to grow your own veggies but don’t know how? You’ll become a real urban farmer after this workshop.

Join Toni Salter from the Veggie Lady  in this two hour workshop where she will take you through the basics of growing veggies and herbs in your garden or in pots on your balcony. Learn WHAT veggies to plant, WHERE to plant them, WHEN to plant them and how to keep them alive so you can harvest an abundant crop. Discover the 5 biggest mistakes gardeners make when growing veggies and how to avoid them.

Toni will run a short presentation and share her gardening experience with you. You will then learn how to sow seeds, maintain seedlings then transplant them. Finish the workshop with some practical seed sowing and transplanting some veggie seedlings to take home with you.
