Sustainable Living: Introduction to Foraging Garden Walk

Diego Bonetto is a wild food advocate based in Sydney, most famous for his offering of urban foraging workshops. Building on the knowledge acquired while growing up on a farm in Italy, Diego introduces people to the ever-present food and medicine plants that surround us. He collaborates extensively with chefs, herbalists, environmentalists and cultural workers promoting new understanding of what the environment has to offer.

You will meet at The Calyx and embark on a 1.5 hour walk around the gardens where Diego will share his knowledge and experience, teaching you useful tips and tricks to get you started on your foraging journey. He will look for live samples in the garden beds and send follow up notes after the talk so you can put your learning's into practice in your own backyard and beyond.
