The Spring Walk will again dazzle your senses with colour and scent as we have planted a cottage mix of annuals including Poppies, Stock, Viola, Lobelia, Cornflower and Primula. Look out for the Flanders Poppies in the Spring Walk roundabout and the many floral shades of Cornflower, including the traditional blue to pinks and lavenders.
The Spring Walk is backed by the heritage Macquarie Wall with plantings from Lion Gate Lodge to the bridge near the Garden Shop. If you venture over to the Southern Africa Garden, then be sure to look out for the small meadow planting of spring bulbs such as Babiana, Spiraxis, Moraea and Amaryllis. And back by popular demand we have sown more Larkspur in the Pioneer Memorial Garden adjacent to the Palace Rose Garden. These beautiful blue and lavender spires will last until mid-November.
