A colourful journey exploring art and gardens through central Mexico
If you’re looking for a truly immersive travel experience in 2019, why not join us on this wonderfully colourful journey through central Mexico. The adventure includes exploring a variety of gardens, some grand and others, secret courtyard gardens hidden behind ancient stone walls with elaborately carved wooden doors, that heave when opened, just waiting to be discovered.
This is a fully supported tour with two hosts, the horticulturalist Sandy Pratten and artist/designer Kerri Ainsworth. Together they will take you on a unique journey through what is considered to be the jewels of colonial Mexico and centre of Arts and Culture. With sketchbooks in hand, under Kerri’s guidance, you’ll immerse yourself in the vibrant colour and culture of these towns.
Imagine walking through cobblestone streets, surrounded by beautiful, colourful colonial buildings, sketching your surroundings from quaint coffee shops and piazzas. Or printmaking in a studio, inside the walled garden of a 17th century hacienda, where delicious lunches are served in a secretive walled-garden. And sunset drinks on a rooftop terrace with sweeping views of the town and the sound of music in the air, from the troubadours wandering the streets, strumming their guitars and singing. The towns are so full of life. There seems to be music and fascination ‘round every corner. Come and and join us. You’ll never want to leave!
